Any suggestion on how to wean an 19 mo.-old from a bottle?

Make them part of it. Tell them that they are a big boy/girl now and these are your new cups and throw away the bottles. This way they know they're gone and you can't give in.

If your that worried about it- stick to your sippy cup guns and throw away the bottles. Get the ones with the transition nipples if you think it will help.

Thank you for your post! I am having the same problem..finding it very hard. When I give her milk in a cup she throws it at me and says "YUK" i know its a comfor thing, but I am due in 2 weeks with another baby and so stressed...

if they are capable of drinking from a sippy cup then just stop giving it to them. the bigest problems with bottles is not the babys its the parents not wanting there baby to grow up.

Introduce a sippy cup...one with a silicone nipple and then on to more advanced cups. I think that munckin makes a good one...and good luck. He may give you trouble at first but stick with it and he will be better for it in the long run!
