i've had false labor for 2 weeks straight, 2cm dilated later on in the last week.. had an ultrasound, baby was a healthy size, and the doctor gave me the okay to do any kind of natural way to induce my labor... i tried everything, and nothing worked... except starting on the first floor of the hospital and jogging up all the way to the top floor... did that for a half hour, and i was in labor, baby was born at 37 weeks : 7pounds 4oz,... but my doctor told me unless your dilated or effaced, no method is really going to work because your body just isn't ready. good luck!

when i was 37 weeks pregnant...i came home from the doctor 3 centimeters...and 70% thinned out, Me and my boyfriend had sex...and i elevated my hips right after. We done it twice. its something in the semen. a hour later i started having contractions. I went into the hospital that night and had my son the next morning. Try it..
Nothing lol. Most likely your baby will just come when he/she is ready. I tried everything besides castor oil, my son was still eight days late and I ended up being induced. Just wait it out and try your best to enjoy your last bit of your pregnancy, you will be holding your baby soon enough!

honestly, there is no way of bringing on early labor, unless you have a very soft placenta, which in my case, i was always early by 4+weeks with both my kids. they do say that walking a lot will ease the birthing part, but it all really depends on how your body will handle the labor. most go into it like it'll be a breeze, but you never know what baby will be doing once and when he/she decides to come out. anything can happen. so if i was you, i wouldn't rush going into labor so soon. enjoy and though it's uncomfortable the last few months...it'll give you an excuse to not do as much 'work'.
hope that helps.

i was 2 weeks over due with my first and was going to be induced the next day. although it wasn't very comfortable i had sex with my partner and by midnight i was in labour. there is something in the sperm that brings on the labour. hope this helps.

The best thing it so have lots of sex unless you have been told not to, walk, and drink plenty of fluids. All the other things don't really work and some of them can make you really sick. If you really want to bring on labor early talk to your doctor.

I ate a lot of pineapple and rubbed the pressure point between my thumb and pointer finger. I started getting contractions that night and gave birth the next day. I swear it was because of the pineapple. Oh and I had been walking around all day too.

I asked my mum the same question 39 yrs ago when I wanted to make sure I was birthed and back home in time for eldest daughter 's 1st birthday dates were close together - she told me to repeat the process to conceive - carefully - We did --- it worked their birthdays are 9 days between apart but 1yr apart

With both my boys I had a take away meal the night before Chinese in fact. My daughter was a bit more stubborn and nothing worked for her. Sex is the best option as the chemicals in the sperm is actually what they give you in gel form to soften the cervix. Lets face it it would be nicer placed there by your partner naturally then shoved up and under by a big butch midwife! Don't be scared about a c section I had two children naturally and the third by c section and it was fine. Just be prepared to have some help at home when you get out of hospital as you are a little sore for a few days but it's really no big deal. Good luck I hope all goes well without a hitch!

My doctor wanted my baby born before his labor day vacation(at least that is what I think) so he swept the membranes that was a friday and I had my daughter on Monday at 1:22pm. On sunday I was having inconsistent contractions so I went for a walk and the at 1am monday morning my water broke a little bit I thought I had just peed a little bit so I hopped in the shower just in case we had to go and when I was sitting doing my hair it was for sure my water had broke. I hope your baby is born soon and easy!! :)

im almost 39 weeks my cervix is ripe and ready to go i went into early labour at 37+2 but it just stopped the midwive has said she's ready to be born and she'd be surprised if she hasnt come by next week ( maybe just her way of making me feel better lol) i just want to move it along a bit but i dont want to do anything to force her out if she isn't ready. My mum passed away 4 months ago so this pregnancy has been really hard without her support..and its really tough losing so much sleep from nightmares and stuff, that might sound stupid but oh well

Sex AND orgasm. The combination worked. Not easy to have an orgasm during sex at 9 months pregnant, LOL, because it is so damn uncomfortable, but I managed to have sex and help bring myself to orgasm during that. You just have to be really creative ;)

I had my membranes swept at an OBGYN app't at 2 then had contractions by 4 that were regular but not painful. It was going on for about an hour when they all of a sudden stopped so I thought no more about it til almost midnight I started getting them 8 minutes apart and my little girl was born 4:46am. It doesn't work for everyone but it worked for me. Good luck!!

i had rasberry leaf tea one cup. a vidaloo curry a bottle of encona chill sauce sex the next day at 3 am my slow labour began i had a membrane sweep then the full blown contactions starting on sat night n he was born on the sunday morning i did have to have my waters broken too. its not nice i would just wait till your due date i know its hard n your think why she got her baby i want mine but your baby will come when he or she is ready it will also be less painful if u let things happen by them selves too.

rasberry leaf tea, rough sex , lots of walking, I went up and down the stairs, pineapples, not sure if any of these work but the night before I went into labor I did all of that, I was getting induced and wanted to avoid it, my water did break on its own 5 hours prior to my induction, but the contractions never came so I got induced anyways

There's also pineapple and lots and lots of walking. For me, I was stuck in early labor for a week so I tried it all. I got suicide wings from Jungle Jims, I walked several hours a day, I ate cans of crushed pineapple, I messaged my pressure points, (which is also supposed to help, it's the one on your wrist and your ankle bone) I did it all and none of that helped me, my daughter was too stubborn. Unfortunately, there is one other way to induce labor, which happened to me, but I would not recommend it. It's stress. I got into a huge fight right before I went into labor. It's definitely not the best way to go,
