Any tips on moving a 3 year old and an 18 month old into the same room?

I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old (both are girls) and we need to move them into the same room soon! I am due with our 3rd child in 7 weeks and we we don't have enough rooms for them all to have their own. I have been procrastinating because we have such a good routine and I don't want to rock the boat but time is quickly running out. My 3 year old is such a good sleeper and napper, but my 18 month old is very easily distracted and talks for about an hour before she falls asleep. I don't want to do separate bedtimes because with 3 kids, it is going to take long enough as it is. Does anyone have any advice to make this transition easier than anticipated? Thanks!!!

Just do it. Tell them about it one morning, get them to 'help' set up the beds (their blankets and whatnot), and just do it. Give yourself two or three days- like over a weekend or other time your hubs will be home the next day- so you can catch up on sleep if you need to and so you'll have an extra set of hands. I did it with my boys and they LOVE having a room together. Sometimes they take a while to go to sleep, but especially with sitters, they love having each other for comfort and usually go right down.
