My 13 year old daughter sustained concussion when she was skiing. It's been 5 weeks now. She still has headache every day. Specially when she is at shool. Does anybody know will this eventually go away? Her ct scan was normal. No bleeding. But she did being knocked out for few min.
Ps, she is straight A student at school. She is going to high school this fall. Will she be able to maintain her grade?

Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

I would speak to your pediatrician and see if she should see a neurologist just to be on the safe side.

I definitely agree with following up with the doctor, and a specialist like a neurologist. My niece dealt with several concussions in high school (sports involvement) and the recovery was long. Headaches, tiredness, and concentration issues were part of the recovery period, and she had difficulty attending a full school day for a while (her condition was severe). However, she did recover, and she will be graduating from college soon. But have someone to monitor your daughter's condition to see if there's anything specific she could do/not to to help her recovery and ease her headaches. Maybe there is stimulation at school (noise, lights, pace) that is triggering headaches.
