Hi there,I had a bad experience last year, I had a little boy at 42 weeks of pregnancy and he died at 7 days old.
I am now 19 weeks pregnant and since around 13 weeks, I have been able to pick up babys heart beat on a doppler. Id say I use it at least 5 times a week, for a couple of minutes. I pick the heart beat up every time and after hearing that little noise, i can relax for a few more days.
Theres so much contreversy out there and some people say not to use them and some say they swear by them, but I just want to know other peoples views on the safety of them.
The one I have is FDA approved and it states they are made for every day use. My midwife says they dont recomment them simply because people either cant pick up the heart beat and worry, or they just are medically equipt to know if what they are hearing is ok. She said the baby should be fine.
I just keep worrying that Im going to give the baby brain damage or something.
