my son was diagnosed with a heat/sun allergy. He takes allergy medicine daily. We try to stay out of the sun between 11-3. We try to stay in the shade as much as possible. If we need to be out between 11 & 3, I have found going out for an hour and then going inside to have a cold drink and cool down for a half hour also helps him. He is only 6 and was just recently given this diagnosis. So we are trying different things. The hives he gets cover his whole body and are so itchy!!

Are you talking about a heat rash? That's not an allergy as such.

We need a bit more information on what happens and when.

Ok, I have to ask...is it an allergy to heat, or sun, or is it that your child easily overheats when outdoors in the heat?

Also, how old?
