Anyone have experience with getting your almost three year olds to wear prescription glasses?

Our triplet boys (DOB 04/06) all recently received prescription eye glasses and we are having trouble getting them to wear them for more than a few minutes at a time. I am trying to work on the one with the highest prescription and then work on the others, but any suggestions would be great. They all have bands to help them keep them on, but that doesn't prevent them from taking them off.

my 13 yr old girl has had glasses since she was 4.... i just told her to wear them...didnt have band on them or anything.....if she didn't wear them, i knew as she would start playing up and getting soon as they were on she was a new kid....being nice again.

she now puts them on as soon as she gets up and takes off for bed. You will find having 3 boys that they will break them alot..I know my girl did (lucky for insurance)

I always told her how pretty she looked, but she found she would get horrid headaches if she didnt have them on.

So u are doing the best u can...keep saying how cool they look and let them know that if they dont wear them, then they will get sore eyes. So hard with kids!

my 9 year old son wears glasses he started when he was 3 i always tried to make it fun at the start as he didnt like how they felt on his face like with anything else new get them to try it for alittle longer each time maybe give them a little reward for the one who wears them the longest each day that should help and they will be proud of themselves when they win my son is really good with them now but my 3 year old is due for a routine eye test in school soon and its her i think i will have the trouble with if she has to wear them dont worry they will get used to it, its knew and different but will soon become part of there routine you wear glasses so its not like they havent seen them beforexx

My son got glasses when he was a year and a half. he is almost 4 now and is still now keeping his on although he does keep them on for about 2 hrs before he takes them off.....I think patience is the only key just let them wear them for a small amount of time a day then keep increasing the amount of time eventually they will get used to them...also make a big deal about them when they are wearing them tell them how handsome they look etc
