Anyone know how to get a baby to sleep in his own bed and not in a bouncy seat?

How about making a pallet on the floor next to your bed? He can fall asleep in your arms and then you roll him onto the floor ( tidy little bed next to yours)? I'm a fan of co-sleeping. My boys all did it and I didn't have a partner to take up all the room for comfort. My boys each have slept next to me whether in my bed or extremely close proximity and I felt it was the whole safety issue as well. They did great. At one point we even brought the swing in our room and Ethan would fall asleep all night in that thing. What ever works for how ever long it works, I feel it is totally worth it.

How old is your baby now?

i love the bouncy seat too it is a god send but even when i try to trasfer him into his own bed he ends up being up all night! i feel i havent gotten any sleep in weeks and feel bad because hes so big and doesnt really fit in the bouncy seat... could it be that the bed isnt comfy or soft enough... i thought maybe it had to do with a security thing were he just felt safe being in the bouncy seat so i bought a boppy pillow and that doesnt even seem to work!

There is not any health concerns for them to put themselves to sleep. In fact, it frees up some time for mom. I looked forward to them falling asleep like this and then after 15 minutes I would transfer them into their bed. It was effortless.

I LOVE the bouncy seat :)
