Appropriate age to begin eyebrow waxing

My stepdaughter is going to be 12 in a few weeks. For a couple months, she's been begging to get her eyebrows waxed. She said several of her friends already get theirs done. Too young, in my opinion. She just began shaving her legs in December, and her eyebrows don't yet need grooming in any way.
When do you think it's appropriate for a young girl to get her brows waxed? (By the way, this is a decision her mother will ultimately make, not me)

Unless she has a uni-brow, leave it until high school. 14 or 15 IMO

I personaly find it too young. If she would have dark eyebrows that really need to get in shape because others make fun of it,that might be a different story. But just because others get them done is not a goid arguement to get hers done.

I don't understand why we keep pushing this standard. "lets torture ourselves".

IMO, NO ONE NEEDS to wax eyebrows. Especially not a 12 yo

I think 12 is too young to get your eyebrows done. If they are extremely thick, unruly or embarrassing you can buy eyebrow shaping was strips that work great and are a lot less expensive than having them waxed at a salon.

I am 39 and have never had anything waxed. I groom my eyebrows by tweezing. Unless she has really unruly eyebrows, why spend the money on waxing? If your 12 y/o has nothing better to complain about than her friends waxing, then consider yourself lucky.

Haha, Patricia Hammond! I think this will be a choice her mother makes. Supposedly, she is thinking about taking EG sometime this summer to get them done, but who knows. I think she'd be just as well off being taught how to tweeze them at home.

Well " if you have to make the choice for your step child then you must give her a new bra when anything like this arrives and tell her when you fill this you can have it your way until ? Give her a number !

I suppose it depends on the girl. My daughter has very full eyebrows but does not have the desire or patience to tweeze or wax. If she wanted too though, I'd rather help her then let her go at them herself.

14. That's usually around the time they're getting ready to go into high school. Unless they have excessive growth or really dark hair. It really does very from kid to kid.

I think it is too young too. I was just curious about what others thought. These kids grow up so fast these days! I believe a few of her friends are being truthful too. EG is an early bloomer, but to me, her eyebrows are just fine for the time being! I have never even had my brows waxed before either. Maybe i could show her some youtube videos and she'll change her mind (she doesn't tolerate pain well).

It can very from kid to kid. But most girls don't start getting them done until hs. I think 12 is too young.
