is it realy unsafe to have another baby if you've had 3 c-sections, and if so what would happen to mum and baby.

You REALLY need to discuss this with your doctor or a medical proffessional. A women in here once said she had something like 8 c sections and is fine. But, every women is different in what there body can handle, how much scar tissue they have, and how weak the scar on the uterus can become with each pregnancy. Really, instead of talking to some strangers on line about this, please seek professional advice. They can check your uterus with and Ultrasound, and see if it looks healthy to have another child. I am sure there are other things they can do, but hell....I am no doctor.

EXACTLY! And find a different Doctor, not one who has told you all the negatives already. My second child (first was c section) I found some awesome mid-wives, and it was in a practice run by a Doctor. If he was needed for a c section, he was called in. Just saying, if you want to go and find out from them too, it might be a good idea. Go to a couple of people, just to make sure you are getting the same answer from all of them. You would not want to put your life, or your unborn childs life in jeopardy. I really wish you the best of luck!

thanks marina that is some very good sound advice, i did not realise that they could check those thing, you have been very helpful. i have always been told by the doctors not to consider it at all because it wouldnt be a good idea, however now i may get more answers as i now know i could ask them to run some test and asses the issue more completely.
