Hi, I am a Asian mom. My daughter got albinism and her skin is very fair and white. She completely different from us, we all have brown skin. Me and my husband always have to felt uncomfortable because people always look at us differently. Recently we had a trouble at immigration too, they thought we taking a white babe abroad & at the end they call to our GP to clarify. Soon we are planning to go for holiday backhome and I like to know is there any sort of cream or cosmetic suitable for child age around 4years to apply to make her look little brownish, hoping by doing that at least that would help to stop people back home, looking at her differently. Please understand our situation and we welcome as many reply as you have.

I understand how hard it is to be different, but I don't think making her look more brown is the way to go. People are different, and your daughter happens to look albino. You should accept the way she looks and make her feel proud about it, not try to hide it by turning her more brown.

Other people should mind their own business, your daughter doesn't need to look browner so other people will stop staring.
