Hi i"m new here, not new to being mom that is but to this site. i'm divorced with a 13 and a half year old daughter who has Megalencephaly. Big word for big brain, big head and a whole host of neurological problems associated with it. At the moment i am battling with the whole 'hysterectomy debate' I have had one myself and the recovery was dreadful, but i believe that it is easier for the younger woman as they can do it via Laparoscopy. Only problem is the government red tape. she has to give consent and only when 18.
My daughter, Jamie is already on iron tablets due to nose bleeds, has the mind of a 6/7 year old in the sense that she still loves Barney. Only has academic level of Gr3 and doesn't cope well on her own. As far as she is concerned the hospitals must burn down, schools must burn down, as must doctors and hairdressers and she HATES babies. She is still getting over Shingles and now has her periods to boot. Not for the first time she started her periods in Sep 2012. I'm just stuck...and alone...
