He doesn't need your consent, really. He can wait until he's 18, or he can indicate his intent, and still sign up at 18.

It's military service. There are a plethora of benefits of serving.

How old he is right now? You do realize that if you do not sign up for the delayed program he can join at 18 and not need your consent. If this is a career choice he wants to make then go for it. It is your call though. He can get great skills training in a lot of jobs, learn to be disciplined in life, and also make you proud.

Thankyou. We met with Army Recruiters at our home. They were caring and nice. My Son is now in the future soldier training program, today was his 1st day, and he loved it. It's designed to prepare our young. Soldiers for basic training. See, Me and my Husband are both disabled Veterans. It's very different when your. son or daughter want serve. We do support him, it's just nerves i'm sure. Thankyou, Patty ( Army)
