I currently have temporary custody of my grand daughter who is 13 years old. She has been diagnosed back in first grade with autism but she doesn't seem to be getting better. The stress of the new school that she is in while she is with me and the new environment is hard on her. She has to walk in circles several times during the day. She spends a lot of time in her own little world. She does want to talk to people. I worry that something might have happened to her but it is difficult to find out because she doesn't talk a lot to us or to her teachers. Do you have any recommendations. In what I have read, I really believe she has Aspergers instead of other types of Autism. Is there a way to test her to find out? Maybe that will help her out as well?
