my 8 yr old daughter just got diagnosis with aspergers syndrom does anyone else out there know anything about this my husband and I dont know much about it this is so new to me I just need to know it will all get better

I'm not going through it, but I have studied it.
Aspergers generally deals with social and communication problems. Treatment will usually be therapy/training. They basically teach children how to read social cues and the types of reactions that are associated.

she did get diagnosed by a professional at the uc davis mind institute and sorry I meant the situation to get better I always thought she was just misbehaving all the time but now we know why she does all the things she does lol we are going to start some classes to get more informed about it and everything I was just wondering if there where more moms that are going threw the same thing that I am thank you for responding

I think you should go and see a specialist in this area! Who was the diagnosis made by?? A professional should make this diagnosis and give you all the information you need... I am a childcare worker and I have worked with several different aspergers and autistic children and they all needed to be handled differently because of the different behaviours and fixations they had developed... What do you mean by 'get better'?? Do you mean that you want your daughter to get better as in not have aspergers anymore or just the situation in general to get better???
