Hi my son is 5 years old. He is very intelligent and is quite popular with other children at school especially with older kids but I am quite worried about his behaviour. He has trouble keeping eye contact, he enjoys spinning sometimes with his eyes closed and walking in circles, he hates loud noises and will put his hands over is ears (he once did this while riding his bike when an ice cream van came past and nearly fell off I just got him in time). His physical development was quite slow. He didn't crawl until he was 16 months and never walked until he was almost 2. He is very clumsy and always falling over. When we watch films or tv programmes together and someone falls or hurts themselves he becomes hysterical (e.g. when woody falls out of tree on toystory 3) and convinced that it has really happened. He also has some obsessions with topics of conversation and will repeatedly ask the same questions over and over again. At the minute he is asking questions about his body and monster trucks. He has problems interacting with other children although they all still seem to love him. Sometimes when I am trying to talk to him he starts talking about other things and not making any sense and he's not very sensitive to other peoples feelings. He is seeing a psychologist at school but they don't know whether it is just the way he is or whether he has an underlying problem. Any help would be appreciated.
