My grandson has "A no touch policy" yet he was suspended from school for touching girls hair at school, followed by lashing out at his intervention specialist when she tried to approach him about it.
We are custodial grandparents and need help. One of the reasons he's with us is he tries to physically abuse his younger brothers.

Crystal, I know anger is a biggie...my eldest is very upper level aspergers, and he's got a temper.

What worked the best with my boy was just to keep talking. Explaining different methods of handling difficult situations, or awkward situations, or just anything that made him 'go off'.

Is he seeing a counselor or therapist? It may help with the anger impulse, especially.

Yes, I agree! He consistently denies his actions to us here at home as well as at school. My husband reminded him off the school cameras that monitor the halls with alternating split screens. He stopped denying his guilt and got quiet. We are currently looking for a good behavioral therapist. Thank you for that advice. We certainly appreciate any info, especially from those much more experienced than we are.

His behaviour needs to be addressed, and he needs to understnd that he must comply with the no touch policy.

He's more than capable of understanding and doing so, but he must be taught impulse control. Much like teaching a toddler what he can/cannot interact with or do.

Constant correction and redirection, accompanied by explanation works very well.
