Hi, my little girl is 8 months old now and she just started eating cheerios. She knows how to chew now and she is able to eat them, she also has been eating solids for about 1.5 months now so the chewing came after that. Also, I give her as a treat once in awhile popcorn twists. She absolutely loves them and they melt in her mouth so I don't have to worry about her choking. Hope this helps.

My daughter started eating cheerios and crackers between 11-13 months. Its all different though. As soon as they can gum things and/or chew (so if they have any teeth) I would give them one and see what they do with it. I just made sure I watched her very carefully until I was confidant that she could chew and eat it without choking. =)

I have a one year old and we started to give her cheerios at around 9 months, she would grab them and they tend to easily dissolve in her her mouth, you could also try the Gerber Puffs they are great and really easy to dissolve...i always try them myself before giving them to my kids =)

I gave them to my son around 6 months old...And my daughter started having them around 5 months. It just really depended on how they accepted them when i gave it to them. Also, when they developed the pincher grasp, that was a sure sign

I gave them to my daughter earlier than most b/c she had teeth early. I would say when you think they can either mush/gum them up safely or have teeth enough to chew. (6-9 months?) Obviously, supervise closely to be sure they don't shove a whole handful in and choke.
