At what age can a child wash her hair by herself?

At what age did you let your daughter completely wash and condition her own hair without help? At 7 years old, my daughter can do some of it, but still needs a once over as she misses quite a bit. My friend with a child several months younger, allows her child to do it without help.

My daughter is 10yo. She has long hair. She is used to be shampooed twice or thrice a week. I do really think her hair needs my care because she is not able to rinse it perfect.

I guess it depends on the child. My daughter is 6. She can do it but needs assistance rinsing or she'll never get all of the soap and conditioner out. Some children can do it as young as 4, some need longer.
