At what age do you feel it is appropriate for girls to experiment with eyeshadow?

My daughters are starting to experiment with eyeshadow. My husband thinks that they are too young (13 & 16) I have only bought colors that compliment their skin, but they seem to have gotten more from friends or bought with their own money. When it looks tacky, I make them tone it down or wipe it off. Every time he sees them with it on, he has something to say.

Ah, I think your husband doesn't want his baby girls to grow up. 16 is definitely not too young at all. 13 is on the young side of average, I'd say, but if it's applied tastefully, then I don't really see an issue.

I'd say from the age they go into year 8 in senior school which here in the UK is 12/13. I wouldn't allow them to wear it for school, and in moderation.
