I am concerned about my 16 month old son. When he was one he was babbling and could say and identify his bear. Soon after I started to notice a decline in his behavior. He quit saying bear, became leary of anyone but me and my husband, and just dud not respond to anything. Last month we had tubes placed because we found he had not been hearing. Looking back I am assuming he had began to lose hearing right before his first birthday and gradually declined from there. Since the tubes he seems happier and interacts with my husband and I a lot! What worries me is that he still has not tried to say anything, does not interact much with other kids, dies not point wave or clap, and rarely responds to his name. I'm not sure if its just going to take time or if I should be worried.
