Avoiding the issue

The father of my unborn baby has stated he wants nothing to do with them, but he will stay out of obligation for the baby only; not to me. I am 12 weeks and debated not having it but I can't do that (I had one in my early 20s and still feel bad about it). I'm 31 and he's 30... Time to face responsibility and another chapter of our lives. Things had been rocky for a little while but salvageable. Now, he's made it clear that He thinks I'm making the wrong choice. Deep down I really love him, but his attitude and actions towards me the last month make me debate whether I want to be connected to him for the rest of my life.

So establish paternity, establish custody/support/visitation, and move forward.

Any man who isn't man enough to accept the responsibility for a kid that he helped create needs to either learn how to keep his pecker in his pants or use some damned contraceptive.

That being said, he did say he'd "stay out of obligation for the kid", so just make sure you have everything in writing in the form of a court order.
