My son is 10 months old and the other night I gave him a few flakes of the cod that we were eating. He loved it! The doctor said not until a year. If I don't feed it to him everyday do you think it is a big deal seeing he likes it?

I think it's Italy that starts them on fish very early, too, and they really have a healthy society food-wise. I wasn't intending to be rude; if you already fed it to him though despite the doctor saying it's a no-no, what good would a group of women on a forum saying the same do? It's done.

Wow that was kind of rude. I was looking for some advice and in that aspect eating red meat more than once or twice a week according to some is not healthy either. This isn't my first rodeo and I was hoping for positive input not criticism. I try to feed my children a well balanced diet and I was just unsure of what other advice or guidelines people were given. According the AAP they said as early as 6 months which I thought was a little too early.

It's not even good for adults more than twice per week. Every day is excessive. But the guidelines for which foods to start when varies by country and training. You're going to feed it to him anyway since you already are.
