I have to agree with Sara here. THere is nothing that denotes how well a child will do in school or not. The parts of the brain that control the body functions such as walking and crawling and not cognitive meaning more use of the brain for learning things. Yes, you do learn somewhat how to walk by watching others do it but academics is a different story.

THere is no set time for a child to reach their milestones but there is an average age that most children achieve those things. Even at 8 months its okay for a baby not to be crawling as of yet but if they are trying to do so then that is fine. Each child is unique. They do things in their own time but about the same as others. No two children are alike.

Probably nothing to worry about. Every kid develops at there own paste. I once saw a 15 month old that had no speech and that could not even walk

Crawling isn't a milestone. Babies don't need to do it. Many skip it, or are mobile in other ways (like bum scooting). If your babies is hitting all of their actual milestones lack of crawling isn't a problem.

Walking or crawling has NO correlation to how well they do academically!
