My baby had it really bad for awhile, but it is slowly disappearing. It can also be caused by milk sensitivity. Are you breast or bottle?

I have a question, when ur son had this baby acne, was it on his ears and was it making his ears rough?. Cus the pediatrician said my girl (5 wks) has a mix of eczema and baby acne and gave me hydrocortisone. But i cant put that on the parts where her acne or eczema is. Like all over her face.

I've noticed that my baby started getting acne only on her forehead, and since I've had her home, everyone is constantly touching and rubbing her head and forehead because they love how soft her hair is. I think that all the dirty hands and oils from everyone is causing a lot of this. Baby's skin is so sensitive and not use to all the germs. We touch our own faces, which I've been told will cause breakouts in adults, but when we have multiple people touching a face repeatedly, especially a baby's delicate skin, it will do the same thing. My advice, don't let anyone touch or kiss her face or head, and keep the area clean with mild soap. I'm using cedaphil.

Thanx so much for your help....I figured I would just have to wait it out... but it's just irritating because some days his face is clear and other days its broken out really bad.

One thing that can help is washing your baby's face a couple of times a day. Make sure it is just baby acne and not Eczema. If it is both, try to use a light lotion right after their bath.

Well see the thing is with both of my kids I thought that they had acne but it was something else call sebarroic dermatitis and I had to use cortizone cream which is over the counter so just make sure that it is actually ACNE before you make decisions and it very well might be if it is just don't let anyone touch his face or alot of people kiss his cheeks cause between you me and the circle of moms I think the germs on the face cause breakouts. When mine were that little I use to tell everyone kiss him or her on the hands only....lol..except for you cause your mommy :) good luck

You mostly have to wait it out. Babies skin can get really dry, especially their face, so using anything on it can actually irritate it. There are some really mild cleansers and things you can use that you can ask your pediatrician about if you are really worried, otherwise it will go away on it's own. My daughter had it off and on until about 6 months old, it went away on it's own.

It is very normal for baby's to get acne.. just don't rub it or pick at it and it should go away in a few weeks and make sure to use sensitive soap, so not to make it worse.

I never used a wash cloth on my boys face when he had acne.

I just used my hand and pat his face dry, I know its unsightly, just know it goes away all on its own :) Congrats on your new baby :) best of luck

It will go away on its own. Don't do anything to it; you'll only irritate his skin.

You don't want to put anything harsh on a babies skin. The baby acne is perfectly normal. My daughter had some until she was about 8 months old. If you're worried about it you should talk to your pediatrician, otherwise just wait it out. It's not going to hurt him.

You really just have to wait it out, as far as I know there really isn't anything to do for it. Hopefully someone has had the same problem and can give you some ideas, all of my kids went away after about a month. Good luck!
