I'm am 33 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, but I've been keeping my sugars under control by watching my diet and using a meter. At my appointment last week they said my belly was measuring at 38 weeks, so next week I have an ultrasound to check on the size of the baby and my doctor said that if the baby is too big they may have to take him as early as the next 2 weeks. I'm just worried that delivering at 35 weeks that his lungs won't be fully developed. Anyone ever experience this? I didn't have this issue with my first so I guess I'm over worrying now. Any advice would be great.

They would give you some steroids to help the lungs develop before delivery.
