Hi! My 3 month old baby suffers from acid reflux really bad and is on 3 difference meds.. Doctor advised to add 1 tsp rice cereal per ounce.. Problem is I can't get the right flow out of the nipple.. Feels as if the milk is too thick that LO gets tired of sucking and ends up falling asleep.. I've tried making a small hole on level 2 nipples.. Please help!

You don't want it to flow so fast that she gulps it all down and then throws it all up but you don't want her to get frustrated either. I did not ever have to deal with this issue but I do know that babies use far more energy to nurse from the breast than a bottle so she should be able to get the flow going. Maybe go up to the stage 3? Are you sure you have the ratio correct? 1 tsp per ounce seems like a lot.
