Hi. My 11 month old daughter has been crying for me for more than an hour after I left for work. she has a new naany, but yesterday she was sad for a few minutes and then OK for the whole day. Is it normal for her to cry this long? how long will this take? please help. I can't even concentrate on my work

Every baby is different. And every nanny is different. My son was always a bit fussy with new people but he would eventually settle and each day was easier than the day before. He is 4 now and he wakes up every day and asks if he can go to "school" and trust me he does not get upset when I leave him there. But I remember we hired one nanny, who was pregnant herself, and he would not stop crying for her. For her sister who was 15, yes, but not for her. I had to leave school by bus and take the 30 minute trip to get him on the 1st day because she was so concerned. I added her to my Facebook so she could message me quietly while I was in class (uni) and on the 4th day she posted that she was so "f-ing" stressed. I decided that my husband would have to leave work immediately and go get my son and she actually kept the money I had prepaid her or the month because I did not give her notice. I hope she figured out ho to handle crying babies before her own came. Long story short (sorry I am a rambler) the next nanny had no issues, so clearly it as all the negative vibe that first one as vibrating off her. Maybe if your baby isnt showing shorter crying times every day then you need to think about a different nanny?
