Me and my ex were together 3 and a half years I am now 24 and he is 22, we had a good relationship we were inseparable but then he started lying and keeping things from me I found it hard to trust him, after being together 2 years I fell pregnant and that's when he really changed he wSnt really there through my pregnancy and he said that was because he didn't kno how to deal with this, a month before my daughter was born he moved in with me and my mum he was an amazing dad and couldn't do enough for us, a year down the line he has left me and my daughter he said he wasn't happy being with me cause of my trust issues, I tried to get him to come back it's been 3 months now and he is saying that he would like to be a family but to just see what happens, I'm confused I don't kno how to come to terms that my daughter will have a broken family, he has just got his own place he tells me that he doesn't talk to any girls but thinks were alright how we are Nd to just let it happen naturally, I don't know what this means ! My hearts in pieces - would really appreciate some advice ?

What he is telling you is that he basically doesn't want to be with you right now, but you are acting like a jealous girlfriend. You need to stop. Back off him, back off treating him like a boyfriend who is cheating on you. It is time for you to step up and be a co-parent not a girlfriend. Your baby has a right to a relationship with both of you, so you need to communicate with him only about the baby and encourage him to spend some time with the baby (preferably without you breathing down his neck).

Stop begging him to come back, stop focusing on "being a family" and focus on you both building a relationship with your child. If you are meant to be together, it would happen, but he doesn't want that now and the more you push it, the more he will back off.

The best thing you could do right now is file for custody and visitation orders and also child support.
