I need help! My 2 month old daughter refuses to take the bottle. I am taking her off breast and she is not liking that at all. she takes the bottle just fine when shes half asleep but when shes awake, SHE WILL CRY AND GET MAD AND THROW HER HANDS EVERYWHERE!! is it that shes confused between nipples or she just knows that the real thing is only inches away?? are there any tricks or better bottle nipples out there? i am currently using the avent (wide) . help please!!

Can you have someone else feed her while you're in another room? That would at least help you determine if she's refusing because she "knows that the real thing is only inches away"

my son is now 5 months and is exactly the same way, but he wont even take it when half asleep... my hubby has tried, my mother in law.. no one can get him to take it... i have been able to get him to take a couple sips but alas no bottle, just boobie... i have bought different nipples different bottles (even one that is shaped like and looks like a boob) i have no solution :( i love boob feeding but being able to have a couple hours away without worrying if he's hungry would be nice.. good luck

This may sound weird but do the nipples on the bottles resemble yours because if not go find or try a new bottle thats what i was told to do and it seemed to work. And what flow are the bottle nipples at you may need to move up a size if its at new born may just be to much work for your baby to get milk. best of luck
