Hi all. I'm a mother of a 3 month old baby girl. Around the time when she was 1 month - I started noticing eczema on her cheeks and forehead. At this time I used all Johnson products including baby oil, bubble bath, shampoo and lotion. When she got the eczema on her face I used Aveno baby. This seemed to help on a daily
use. She then started to get patches of eczema on her arms, fingers, thighs and knees. Since the outbreak got worse, I started using the Aveno baby on her body. She broke out in a rash so I discontinued Aveno all together. I also took away all Johnson products and changed to baby safe laundry detergent. The only fabric that touches her skin is 100% cotton. Her Pediatrician prescribed a steroid cream, epicerum and hydrous emulsifying ointment. I was able to clear the eczema 99%. Along with this I used vasoline before bed. As I never wanted to use chemicals like the prescriptions long term and I wanted a daily moisturizer to use through out the day - I started all baby arbonne products. All was good until I noticed red patches that seemed rash like. This only occurred with the lotion. The diaper cream also left her a bit red which I never seen with other diaper rash creams. I have now discontinued all these products and went back to only using the prescriptions. It seems like everything I use - she seems to be sensitive too. After 3 months of using the same brand diapers - pampers swaddlers - looks like a red dot type rash around the tummy. Not sure why. Is there any mom's that seem to have babies with eczema and sensitive skin? Any advice would be appreciated. Breaks my heart not to see her skin looking silky soft and clear of all redness.
