Did he land on his head, was the surface hard, did he cry, did he lose consciousness, did he or has he vomited, is he lethargic, is there a lump, is there a dent, did it break the skin, is there a bruise, is he irritable and inconsolable?
I know that is a ton of questions, and I am not a doctor. However, I am the mother of four and I am a nurse. Kids fall. They fall everyday. If you are truly worried call your doctor but they will likely tell you to go to the ER as they can't promise you he is ok. If you do go to the ER, and there is a chance he hit his head they will want to do a CT scan. If this were me, and he was acting normally i would just watch him for a few hours. If he vomits, or becomes so lethargic you cannot wake him, go to the ER. Even if he took a hard blow to the head, babies have lots of space a fluid in there to cushion their brain. If you are concerned about an injury to another part of his body like his arms or legs, keep in mind those bones are still very flexible and don't break easily.
Now, if you do go be 100% honest about why and how he fell. This happens, it is not your fault. But if there is any question that you are not being honest they may call CPS.
