My son Matthew is 5 months he is a breastfeeding baby, the last month I have been givin him formula and breast milk and now I started giving him cereal. I also introduced him to a carrot and banana, he ate it fine, Last night I tried giving him white potatoe, but he didn't seem to like it it much. Ima try again today, is it OK for me to give him a white potatoe? Or am I trying to much?

At 5 months all he needs still is the breast milk. I'm not sure why you started giving him formula (and it's totally your business), but all he still NEEDS is the breast milk...or formula if that's what you choose.

Now... at 6+ months there is nothing wrong w/ him getting tastes of foods and potato is a nice, soft, bland food, but it's not necessary for him to eat at all. If you are going to give potato... sweet potato has more nutrients and he will probably like it better anyway. Food under a year is just for the tastes and experience.
