Baby has jaundice. Paed has advised zero water/gulcose intake. Advice pls!

Baby G is 15 days all and has jaundice with level 147 at last check. I am currently breastfeeding with occasional formula supplementation. I have been advised not to give my baby any form of liquids besides bm and/or fm. My mother/aunts says jaundice needs to be flushed out and we can do it faster by giving him small amounts of gulcose water in between feeds but I am afraid to try. Any mums experienced this issue?

NO WATER until baby is a year old. As your doctor has informed you (correctly, I might add) only breast milk or formula should be given at this age. Your female relatives are NOT correct, and you could cause other problems by following their advice.

In my country, once it is not severe for the child to be hospitalized and placed under lights, we give them sun baths in the morning sun and or the evening sun. This time is best because the sun is just warm.
