I'm 30 weeks pregnant now and I rarely feel any movement and it has been this way throughout the whole of my pregnancy however my partner feels it move all the time as soon as he touches my belly why is this? Does this mean my baby prefers my partner to me?

It does not mean that the baby prefers your partner. Just because you don't see/feel a response to your actions, doesn't mean your baby isn't responding in some other way. As far as your partner getting movement, the baby's response to outside stimuli could be happy/excited, or agitated. Do you know which? Unless you can read baby's mind, it's not likely you can tell what the baby is feeling. The baby could interpret your partner's touch differently than yours for several reasons. It could be that your heartbeat, breathing, or other rhythms change when he touches you and the baby picks up on that. It could be that it feels a different rhythm of his heartbeat or something through your belly. It could be that it's reacting to something that has become familiar to it, but not the constant familiarity of mommy. It's really only guessing, so don't read too much into it.
