My three month old boy has a HARD time falling alseep. I don't know what to do! I have tried everything I can think of. He just screams for at least 5 minutes, often more. It doesn't seem to matter if I hold him, rock him, walk with him, just put him in bed. I've even tried nursing him to sleep, but he still screams. It's not just fussing; it is full fledged SCREAMING. Occassionally I can put him in bed and he'll just wimper a bit then fall asleep, but those times are few and far between.
I'm not opposed to Dr. Ferber's method, but I don't quite feel comfortable letting a 3 month old scream for more than a couple minutes.
What I am wondering is...has anyone else experienced this? Does it seem like a behavioral thing? Or is it possible that there is some medical reason he would scream like that?
