Baby spitting Up

My doctor said it is normal for my 3 week old baby girl to spit up milk but we are so worried since yesterday she chocked and was quiet for few seconds.A friend suggested milicon... is that something we should consider?

it won't hurt to put milicon in her milk but it's more to prevent gas then to help with spit up. just make sure that she's in a position to get the spit up out when it comes up - my son was a spitter when he was born and the hospital told me to sleep him on his side so it would run out the side of his mouth and keep him inclined a bit (or sitting up against your body/in a swing or carseat) for a while after each eat.

I wouldn't give her anything without the doctors say so. My daughter spits up too, and as long as they aren't screaming afterwards everything is fine. If she didn't go blue or was gasping for a long period than it should be fine. I have a forceful letdown and my daughter chokes almost every feeding no matter what position she gets put into for eating. It happens and as long as she isn't in pain from the reflux than it will eventually go away. They just have underdeveloped sphincters on their tummys and its very easy for stuff to come back up.
