Hi all,
My daughter is about to be 4 months old and she sucks her thumb ever when she is full. Initially I took it as cue to feed her. Though I feed her on demand I fail to understand what is making her suck her thumb / fingers. It would be helpful if any of you could suggest ways how to make her stop doing this.

TIA

She is self soothing. Nothing wrong with it. If you don't want her sucking her thumb, you can give her a binky, but she may not like it as much as her finger.

My son went through a stage like that. He use to suck his thumb for either food/sleep/comfort. She's probably sucking her thumb for comfort. If you don't want her to suck her thumb/fingers I would try offering a pacifier.
