It is normal for babies to sweat sometimes.
If you are going to put your bub to sleep in light clothes just make sure you put a singlet on him cos it's important to keep their chest warm (if he gets cold he will shiver which will increase body temp & may cause more sweating).
You can buy sheepskin underlays that go under the mattress. A friend did this cos her baby boy sweated alot & she said it really helped, especially in summer.

Are you breastfeeding? My daughter used to sweat ALOT when I nursed her. Not really bad when I rocked her to sleep or was holding her. Doctor said it was normal. She is 14 months now and she is my warmer/cuddler on cold days and nights LOL. I think you son will grow out of it and possibly could be that he is one of those people who produce heat when you snuggle with them like my daughter. ^_-

Sure! My last daughter is a head sweater. She was a summer baby and always had a sweaty head. Don't worry about it, I am sure he is fine. Perhaps ensure that you don't put as much clothing on him and try to dry him off as soon as you notice so he doesn't get a chill. Stop the swaddling as well.

My daughter used to sweat so badly when she slept! I used to let her just sleep in a diaper & onsie. I think it's ok! My pediatrician never really said anything negative about it, just to make sure she didn't have a fever! Oh, and a cool bath before bed! :)
