Baby waking from moving

My baby girl is 5 months old and moves a lot! She was always a great sleeper until we hit a sleep regression when she was 2.5 months where she woke up every 45 minutes. Now she is waking up every 1-2 hours just because of how much she moves. Even if I swaddle her, she still moves her head back and forth and starts to squirm her legs until she wakes up. I feel like I've tried everything to get her to stop moving and waking herself up so she sleeps better! Because of her moving, she doesn't sleep well at night and she only takes 20 minute naps, so she is almost always tired. Please help!

Thank you for responding back :) I stopped swaddling her once she hit 4 months old. I was just saying that I have even tried swaddling her and not even that has worked. She sleeps in a onesie and unswaddled :)

Maybe it is the swaddling that is bothering her. If she is wiggling and squirming to get free and then wakes; maybe she is hot. Swaddling is really more for newborns. By 5 months she should be rolling over and can change positions during her sleep. Think how it would feel if you were swaddled and could not get your arms and legs free?
