My 5 months old baby has not started sitting up well and i am kind of scared if i caused it because i started putting him in a walker when he clocked 4 months basically because we don't have enough space around the house and he's the 5th member of the family and i wouldn't want anyone sitting on him on the chairs.

Can anyone tell me what i can do . i sincerely hope the walker hasn't obstructed his growth.

Some are later to sit up, he is not that far behind. That said, I would limit the walker use. He shouldn't be in it for more than an hour or so a day, and only a few minutes at a time.
Put him on the floor on a blanket or play mat for at least 20 minutes at a time 4 to 6 times per day. This will give him an opportunity to exercise and strengthen his core muscles that help him sit upright.
Wearing him upright (like in an ergo or moby wrap) can also strengthen his core. He will still need the daily floor time, but it could be a better option that putting him in the walker in between floor times if you are afraid someone will sit on him.
You could also leave him in a larger pack n play for a few minutes at a time--just make sure it's large enough for him to move around in and has a firm bottom. And of course, it shouldn't be the same place where he sleeps or it will mess up his sleep patterns.
