These estimates a doctor gives you are exactly that - estimates. They aren't accurate and may not even be close. Right through my pregnancy I had different estimates based on measurements, and they were mostly wrong. At one stage they thought I was a month out on my dates because my daughter measured too small, then the next times, they said she would be a 7lb baby. She ended up a 5lb 2 oz baby at full term. They honestly only estimate.
Due dates are also not firm - they are estimated based on your last menstrual period, not exact date of conception. Only a small percentage of babies are born on their estimated due date anyway.
