I had my daughter almost 2 months ago (emergancy C-section) and got my 1st period 3 days ago. I am bleeding through a pad every hour and half in last 30hours, it is bright red and very lil clotting. Is this ok or is this bad

I think if this does not sow down you should make a call to the doctors. I had a c section and it was not this bad. You are in danger of being anemic if this does not stop soon. 30 hours is a lot of blood. Ring the doctor now and see what they suggest.

Raven, you might want to sit with your legs above your heart for at least an hour a day or when ever you can, to stave the blood flow. Eat some red meat, take your vitamins, and drink lots of water.

Glad your tests came back normal. Congrats on your new baby!!

It might be OK but definitely something you should ask your doctor about. I have bled heavier ever since my son was born. Another Mom told me it's due to the uterus being stretched. My son is almost 3 years old and my periods are still heavy. My doctor said nothing is wrong.

I would call to be sure. 10 days after my youngest was born, I started having break through bleeding. While I was passing nearly softball sized bright red clots and soaking a pad every half an hour, there is no way that breakthrough bleeding 2 months post partum is normal.

Good luck!

Glad you're okay. You should still keep an eye on it, though. My first period after my son was born (9 months later) was like that, just gushing blood for 48 hours. And terrible cramps. The second period was a bit better, and after that they were back to normal. I was just a bit weak and tired for a few days. I ate lots of red meat and felt better soon. Hope you do, too.

That's really too long to be bleeding that heavily without at least getting checked out. I hope you've gone in already.

CALL THE DOC!!!!!! I had a C section and that kind of bleeding didn't happen after for me. Please let us know how it turns out.
Wishing you well!

sound like you should see a doc ASAP. I had a similar experience 6wks after delivering naturally and when I went to see the doc (I thought my period had come back) they found I had a bleeding fibroid and gave me some meds. It stopped within 2 days.

If your periods weren't heavy before then maybe get it checked. They won't do much until the bleeding stops.

Unfortuately for me this is what mine are like every month. Hopefully when I have my gyno appointment next month they will do something about it.
