They're super sensitive at this age. My son had symptoms for a couple of YEARS before he mentioned anything to us. By the time he agreed to bloodwork, he was a 30% kidney function and admitted immediately to Children's for emergency procedures.

Please try to encourage him to do this soon! Even if it's not the kidney thing, it could be juvenile diabetes (that's what they first thought for my son).

Good luck. If you need anything, pm me and I'll be happy to help if I can

He needs to speak with a physician. Several medical conditions can cause incontinence in teens, diabetes, kidneys, etc. Tell him that he needs to have bloodwork done to check the possibilities of these problems.

My son had this issue, turned out his kidneys were failing due to having crushed his urethra as a young boy, and we never realized it. If the kid has racked himself at any time in his life, he does stand the chance of having this be his problem. The only way that it would be readily detected would be if his urine stream is noticeably diminished.

Please encourage him to speak to his parents/guardians about seeing a physician.
