I have a (almost) 3 year old girl.. She is a VERY smart little girl, beautiful, and can be well behaved when she wants... But recently she has become almost out of control.. When she doesn't get her way she will scream at the top of her lungs at me continuously until i put her in her room for time out. but this does not solve the problem. She will hit, and throw. She is an only child, and has been home with me since day 1. I work from home so she doesnt go to preschool or daycare. Im worried that these issues will become much more serious then they are now. She also has absolutely NO interest in potty training. I desperately need some advice from other moms... thank you.

This audio article may be helpful. I've heard time and again that not responding to the tantrum is the key. It discourages the behavior since tantrums are usually designed to get attention. Even negative attention is attention. I'm sorry you are dealing with this.

Good luck!
