Will my belly button go back to being an innie after the baby is born? How long does it take to go back?

For some reason my belly button doesn't want to go in, I had my baby 15 months ago and still can't get to the same shape I was before pregnancy.. :( Any suggestions?

Hi! Don't worry, it'll go back in after your baby comes. My husband used to say it was like one of those pop up timers on turkeys that pop out when the turkey is done LOL!

Mine went back in. I even had my steel belly button ring taken out and a plastic belly button ring in it's place, whilst I was pregnant. All looks great now, even after two babies. All the best.

Mine used to be an innie, now it's innie on the right side & outie on the left. Apparently it's not very common though.

I work on a Postpartum unit in a hospital, and I have not seen any moms with outie buttons that weren't outies before.

The second the baby comes out your stomach deflates like a balloon. Although, like a balloon, it's all stretchy and doesn't go back to it's original shape! Your belly button, or atleast mine did four times over, will go back to the same as it was before.
