Best City to live with Special Needs services

Looking to relocate where the services for children with special needs (multiple needs/dependent for everything) are available. We are in a great place at this time, but my concerns are High School and beyond. Currently we reside in Illinois suburbs, services are covered through insurance, once they age out of school, 21, we have no where to go. I'm trying to research where/what States may offer better services for children 21+.

The difficulty in answering your question is that no one know what our health care model will be like down the road. If you needed care today, I would tell you to find a state that opted out of the Affordable Care Act, for example Tennessee currently has TennCare instead of Medicaid and it transitions past the 21st birthday. However, no matter where you live medicaid or SSI should cover many of the costs.
