My son will be 11 months sept 5th and i am trying to wean him off his bottle. He drinks his sippy during the day and a bottle normally only at nap time and bed time cause he wont take his sippy when i try and give it to him to take a nap or go to bed. Does anyone know any good ideas that i can get my son to take his sippy at nap and bed time so i can try and wean him off his bottle i want him off the bottle by his 1st birthday.

give him the sippy at meals and bottle only at night, then start giving him the sippy with dinner and nothing right before bed. Worked for my daughter, she was weened at 10 months.

maybe try a straw sippy instead of a bottle at those times? that way he can still get sucking (comfort) but it wont hurt his teeth.

I do give him his sippy at meal times. He wont take naps than cause he wants milk before he goes to sleep. He tends to want milk before he goes to bed though sometimes he doesnt i put him in his cirb while hes awake and he falls asleep one his own but sometimes he wont go to sleep unless he gets milk and he wont take the sippy.
