#1 purchase a roll of duct tape

#2 tape the cabinets, fridge and oven shut

Just kidding. I remember when my slender, single girlfriend said to me. "Just don't eat everytime you feed the kids". Oh how soon they fall. After three kids she is, well, shall we say, overly pudgy.

What I found worked for me was to get in a route of a work out every morning. I do mean every morning. When I did the three times a week thing it was easy to put it off, switch days of the week mentally and then fall out of the habit. My daughter was little when we discovered that there was a work out program on Disney for little ones to do with a parent. It was called "Just you and me kid". She put her little workout outfit on just like mommy did and we put little brother in the playpen behind us as we moved to the tv directions. He loved trying to grab us and interacting with squeals of delight when we ran around or touched our toes. But after that early morning show the kids were put at the table with breakfast and I worked out to "bodies in motion". It is still on tv today! It is on fit and health channel at 6 a.m. :) It is just 30 minutes, counting commercials. Those commercials were how I timed telling the kids how much longer they had to wait to go potty or get an extra drink. It is so much easier to keep going once you start a routine. The kids will fall into whatever habit you lead them with as well. I have to tell you that it is such a great way to give yourself a pat on the back every morning, relieves stress and kicks that metabolism into gear where as you can over indulge without the bulge!
