There are plenty of books in the library that explains all about puberty etc. I would suggest both you and your friend go and spend a day in the library and read.

Child, stop with the lying. We're parents, we're not stupid.

We've all heard the 'my friend' scenario from our own kids.

And since you (typical kid that you are) seem to think that none of our solutions will work for you (yet you've not TRIED them...)...

All I can say is my last suggestion is to go to a youth center in your area and look for assistance there.

Get off the computer, get out of the house, and do something age appropriate. THIS IS NOT A WEBSITE FOR BORED KIDS.

it is my friend I just sorta lied to her because I told her my mom actually talks to me about this and it's summer break and I don't go to church

Maya, we know it's not your friend, we know that it's your own situation. You've been given several suggestions of how to handle things with your mother. If you don't feel that any of those will work, I suggest that you turn to a school counselor, or clergyperson at your church to help you approach your mother.

How old is she? Does she really need a talk about how to wear a bra and apply deoderant?
